Look guys, it's the magic school bus! (Okay, how much did I date myself with
that one?) I did this to try being anal in photoshop - I see all this amazing 2d animation that uses really flat shapes and I've wondered how they do it when it's not flash (probably by hand). But anyway, I wanted to play with it.
Sometimes it's also 3D. ;) From a orthographic camera, flat shaders and lighting. I believe South Park is in 3D nowadays. In some ways it's easier than dealing with Flash. ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's true, but I can normally tell when it's 3D because of how the shapes move. Headless Productions does this awesome 2D that I think is all digital but isn't 3D. I want to know how they keep their shapes so clean! (Though probably some 3D is used, for sure).
